Austin, Texas - The University of Tulsa sophomore Sophia Rodriguez recorded a personal-best, a school-record and a 10th-place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 41 feet, 10.75 inches at the NCAA Midwest Regional at the Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas. The Golden Hurricane track teams concluded the season with four student-athletes competing in the final day of competition.

Wichita, Kan. - Tulsa junior-transfer Stephanie Jeffers set a new school record by more than 23 feet, and registered a personal-best and first-place performance in the discus with her throw of 47.99m (157-5.0) on Saturday at the Wichita State Invitational in Wichita, Kansas. Five other Golden Hurricane student-athletes earned first-place marks, as a total of 19 TU tracksters registered personal-bests. Tulsa also qualified one new runner for NCAA Regional competition.
The University of Tulsa track teams concluded action at both the Missouri Relays in Columbia, Missouri, and at the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, California, on Saturday. The teams combined for a total of 13 personal-bests and freshman Alex Becker qualified for NCAA Regionals. Becker posted a personal-best, second-best time in school history and an NCAA regional qualifying time of 4:26.64 in the 1,500-meter run in Stanford. She was the lone competitor today at the Invitational.
