The AAU Cross Country National Championship was held today at Rock Hill, SC. There were several Oklahomans' in action from bantam to young men and women age groups. In the boy's intermediate race, Ben Williams lead Jenks America Track Club to a 4th place finish, with his 17th place finish and a time of 16:48. On the intermediate girl's race, Jenks America Track Club finish 5th with Jamie Sherwood (19:47) leading the way with an 18th place finish. In the young men's race, Jenks America TC put 4 runners in the top 15; Kendall Robbins (15:38) finished 2nd, Clay Mayes (16:08) 7th, Isaac Garcia (16:13) 11th, and Josh Adams (16:24) with a 13th place finish. This put them in 3rd place only 4 points from the Brocaw Blazers, which one the meet. On the young women's side, Jenks America TC finished 2nd overall and had 5 runners in the top 15. Leading the way was Tayler Rigsby (19:11) with a 6th place finish, Lauren Watson (19:13) 8th, Lacey Akers (19:23) 9th, Jessica Parker (20:06) 14th, and Beckah Brady (20:08) 15th.
