Okay, a dream came true for me today; I chased a thief! I was in Oklahoma City and stopped by Wal-Mart on my way out of town. As I'm walking out of the store I hear the alarm going off. When I look up I see the Wal-Mart greeter yelling at this man, whom is running out of the store, "to stop." I got so pumped and said "don't worry dude I'll catch him." I then take off after him and chase him across the parking lot; It was crazy! My first thought was to tackle the guy, but then it hit me that he could be armed. So, then I decided to do one of two things. If he didn't have a car, which I was really hoping he didn't, I was going to just run about 20 feet behind him until he collapsed. If he had a car then I was going to chase him to his car and get his license plate number. Well, I chased the guy for about 400 meters and he didn't know I was behind him until he got about 30 meters from his car. When he looked back; his eyes got so big! It was so funny! I just smiled real big at him. So, then he jumped in his car and drove off. I was already in the process of calling 911 to give them his plates, but he didn't have a license plate. I gave them a description of the car and of him and then went back in Wal-Mart and gave the greeter a description of the guy and his car. I still don't know if they ever caught him or not, but the chase was fun!
