Thomas Odea leads the pack with a comeback win at Deer Creek. Odea was towards the middle of the pack for awhile before slowly moving up and out kicking everyone for the individual title. Odea is part of a Regent Prep team that looks dominate so far this season. Bishop Kelley's top finisher from last season returns with a great start to his season. Opening up with a 15:42 puts Eli Horeled towards the top of the state already.
Mustang's defending state champion, Noah Thayer, did not compete in this race. But Mustang has more than just Thayer. Teagan Nelson got it done at Deer Creek placing 3rd with a time of 15:46.24. The senior is primed for a great season.
