Oklahoma Girls Performer Of The Week (1/13-1/19)

Last week's performer of the week competition took place after the Pitt State Indoor meet. Vicky Porter from Broken Arrow High School won last week's event taking 60.41% of the votes with 10,161 total. Congratulations Vicky!

This week's article is in reference to Arkansas Indoor - which took place last weekend. The nominees for girls performer of the week are:

Emma Robinson (Claremore):

Robinson ran 10:41.44 for 9th place in the 3000m. She also ran a strong 1 mile as well. Robinson beat some great Oklahoma talent.

Vicky Porter (Broken Arrow):

Porter continues her great start to the season with a 2nd place finish in the 200m finals. She ran a time of 24.20.

Kassidi Watkins (Mustang):

Watkins was dominant last year in the long jump and will likely be dominant again this year. She's jumped over 20 feet before, but her mark of 18-7 and a quarter puts her in a good spot to start the year. Watkins placed 2nd overall.

Josie Fowler (Broken Arrow):

Fowler placed 2nd overall in the pole vault with a leap of 11-5 and three quarters. Fowler has started the year off strong and will look to continue that as we get closer to outdoor.

Carly Borgelt (Union):

Borgelt placed 5th overall in the shot-put with a throw of 40-1/2. Borgelt had a solid season last year and will look to follow that up this year.
