This week's nominees are:

Mez Barth (Stillwater 12):

Barth ran 15:02 for a 1st place finish at COAC. This time was a personal best, course record, 2nd fastest recorded XC 5K on Oklahoma soil by an Oklahoma high school athlete, and 5th all time by an Oklahoma high school athlete.

Dominic Matthias (Moore 9):

Another great performance by one of the greatest freshman talents our state has ever seen. Matthias only added to a stellar first high school season with his second place finish at COAC. He finished with a 15:23.

Maxton Barker (Edmond Santa Fe 12):

Barker made another leap at COAC, finishing 4th overall in a time of 15:37. Barker out ran a lot of top athletes in the state, and has put himself in the mix to contend for a top five finish at the 6A state meet.

Quentin Hoogs (Deer Creek 11):

Hoogs became the back to back JV state champ at COAC. His run of 16:13 would not only make him many team's best athlete, but it's also one of the fastest times ever run by a JV athlete.

Caleb Lamb (Broken Arrow 11):

Lamb has had a solid season and further proved that with his win at Frontier Valley Conference. Lamb ran 16:47 in tough conditions to out run some great athletes. Lamb is one of the best runners in the Tulsa metro.
