The sprints are particularly electric this year, led by Lexington's Elijah Pearman, who clocked a 10.74 to take the early lead in the 100 meters. Rejoice Christian has a dynamic duo in Wade White (10.96) and Blake Schuler (11.07), the latter of whom also sits second in the 200 at 22.57. Marlow's Jonathon Brite is right there with them, holding the class lead in the 200 at 22.03 and third-best in the 100 (11.06), highlighting his all-around sprint range.
In the 400 meters, Chandler's Cruz Jackson leads the way at 52.53, with Marlow's Cruz Sanchez and Lindsay's Armando Hernandez also dipping under 54. Jackson also ranks sixth in the 100, giving him a strong multi-event presence. Rejoice's Wyatt Maxey shows early potential as well, ranking in the top ten in both the 400 and 800 as just a freshman.
