Fresno, CA – The St. Gregory's women's track and field team showed up big and had several strong finishes at the 55th Annual NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships which were held in Fresno, California.
Highlighting the women's squad was freshman Michelle Bolden who finished 3rd in the women's 400 meter dash with a time of 56.40. Not far behind her was fellow teammate Edna Diggs. The junior from Chickasha finished 9th. Also finishing in the top five was the SGU women's 4X400 relay team who had a fifth place finish. The tandem of Bolden, Diggs, Unity James, and Kenneshia Houston finished with a time of 3:52.25. Senior Michelle Davis finished out her college career with a 24th place finish in the women's marathon. The Lady Cavaliers had a final team ranking of 23rd.
On the men's side St. Gregory's junior Joe Hughes had a 6th place finish in the men's 400 meter dash. His finals time was 48.37. The SGU men's final team ranking through the meet was 45th best in the nation.
