Tulsa, Oklahoma – The University of Tulsa track teams began competition
in the Drake Relays today, participating in all four races at the Drake
Knapp Center in Des Moines, Iowa. The relays continue tomorrow and
will
conclude on Saturday, April 29th.

Golden Hurricane sophomore Kelli Denny turned in a personal-best and
11th-place mark in the 10,000-meter run with her time of 37:57.26. In
the 5,000-meter run, senior Lise Olivier captured a season-best time of
17:39.61.

In the men's races, sophomore Joel Stansloski tallied a personal-best,
a
third-place mark and TU's third-best time in school history with his
time of 31:05.01 in the 10,000-meter run. A total of 27 athletes
competed in the race.

Also for the men, junior Edwin Henshaw and sophomore Brett Turowski
claimed times of 14:36.09 and 15:00.03, respectively, in the
5,000-meter
run. They both claimed personal-bests this season in the same event at
the Stanford Invitational on March 31st.
