28th Tulsa Run Proves for Great Times

The 28th Tulsa Run was held on a beautiful mourning for running. The men's 15k was won by Vincent Topiwo of Shawnee Mission, Kansas with a time of 46:34, which is a 5:00 flat mile pace. The first Oklahoman was former OSU Cowboy Greg Rouault with a 3rd place finish and the first masters finisher was Pete Orban of Claremore. Another notable in the race was former Edmond Memorial and University of Arkansas Standout Mark Thompson, who finished 4th. On the Women's side Tulsa's Fride Vullum won the race for the second year in a row with a time of 54:04. The top master's female was Terri Cassel, also of Tulsa, with a time of 59:56.

The 5k race was won by 18 year old Peter Doroshuck of Stillwater with a 15:13 and runner-up was Ben Houltberg of Tulsa with a 15:17. Finishing 3rd was Holland Hall's top runner Jack Marrow with a 15:56. (Jack has a great Q&A under the Features & Interviews section) Lizzy Pitcock of Tulsa was the first female to cross the line with a 20:36 and following close behind with a 20:46 was Grace Barber, also of Tulsa.
