At this past weekend's Missouri Southern Stampede, East Central's Josh Stewart and Southwestern Oklahoma's Rachel Ingram were the top Lone Star Conference finishers, which earned them Lone Star Conference Runners of the Week Honors.
Stewart, a sophomore for Ada, had a time of 25:09 that placed him 20th among the 307 runners, which included several NCAA DI schools. ECU Head Coach Susan Payne had great things to say about her star runner, "Josh is well deserving of this honor; he had an exceptional week and ran a great race!"
Southwestern Oklahoma sophomore, Rachael Ingram from Springfield, MO, finished 22nd overall and her time of 18:12 was over a minute faster then any Lone Star Conference competitor.
Both East Central and Southwestern will be competing this weekend at Oklahoma Baptist University. Below is a list of the top ten times in the LSC.
