ECU\'s Joseph and SWOSU\'s Ingram Top LSC Academic Team

RICHARDSON, Texas -- East Central's Sandy Joseph and Southwestern Oklahoma's Rachel Ingram were
among those honored Friday when Lone Star Conference officials announced the league's all-academic awards.
Joseph was named LSC Men's Academic Runner of the Year, while Ingram was LSC Women's Academic Runner
of the Year. Both were voted to the LSC All-Academic teams, which recognize 10 runners -- five men and five women --
for both academic and athletic achievement. The All-Academic teams are voted upon by the league's sports information
directors.
In addition to the All-Academic teams being announced, another 18 runners -- 15 women and three men -- were
named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll for their academic success. To be eligible for both the Honor Roll and the All-
Academic team, student-athletes must maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average.
East Central, which finished as LSC runner-up at the conference meet in October, dominated the men's awards
with three named to the All-Academic team and another on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. ECU also had four honorees
on the women's side, while Angelo State led the way with two on the women's All-Academic team.
