This Week's Nominees:
Daniella Okorie, Jenks High School (Oklahoma): Won the long jump at the OSSAA 5A/6A State Championship with a state-leading 20-0.5, defeating a field of 32 competitors. Also placed 5th in the 100 meters with an 11.74.
Payton Brown, Broken Arrow High School (Oklahoma): Swept both hurdles events at the OSSAA 5A/6A State Championship, clocking 13.87 to win the 100m hurdles and 43.30 to take the 300m hurdles. The top-ranked junior in Oklahoma in both events.
Addison Doyle, Claremore High School (Oklahoma): Ran 23.94 to place 3rd in the 200 meters at the OSSAA 5A/6A State Championship. The #1 junior in the state in the 200.
Javen Buffington, Grove High School (Oklahoma): Threw 143-3 to win the discus at the OSSAA 5A/6A State Championship, topping a field of 31 competitors.
Alyssa Pool, Norman North High School (Oklahoma): Cleared 12-6 to win the pole vault at the OSSAA 5A/6A State Championship, a mark that ranks #2 in the state this season.
