This Week's Nominees:
Shaun Hughes, Macarthur High School (Oklahoma): Swept both throws at the Quanah Cox Invitational with marks of 61-3 in the shot put and 165-5 in the discus. He won the shot put competition over 21 other throwers and took first in discus against a field of 20 competitors.
Gabriel Osborne, Mustang High School (Oklahoma): Won the long jump at the Quanah Cox Invitational with a leap of 23-9, clearing a field of 31 other jumpers. The #2 junior in the state in the long jump turned in the top mark among 91 competitors this week.
Cruz Gillespie, Oklahoma Christian Academy (Oklahoma): Posted the week's fastest times in both sprints at the Velma-Alma Comet Invitational, clocking 10.62 in the 100 and 21.55 in the 200. He won the 100 over 91 runners and took the 200 against 57 competitors.
Jeremi Casteel, Heavener High School (Oklahoma): Threw 173-1 to win the discus at the OSSAA 2A/3A Stroud Regional, posting the top mark among 130 throwers statewide this week. He also placed third in the shot put with a throw of 48-8.
Colt Moore, Woodward High School (Oklahoma): Captured wins in both the 200 and 400 at the OSSAA 3A/4A Chisholm Regional, running 21.59 and 48.94 respectively. The #2 junior in the state in the 200 and #3 junior in the 400 turned in the week's second-fastest 200 time among all competitors.
