Last week, Dominic Matthias from Moore High School won the contest!
This past week we saw some great performances even with the warm weather. Many athletes showed up and took care of business, leading to fast times. Here are this week's nominees.
Ethan Brooks (Yukon 10):
Brooks won the Choctaw meet with a time of 16:02.84. He beat other top talents in the state such as Noah Thayer and Adarian Andrews.
Brooks Linse (Norman North 10):
Linse won the Community Christian meet with a time of 16:13.73. He has had a strong start to the season and beat some tough competition to get the win.
Clay McKinney (Regent Prep 12):
McKinney is one of the top runners in the state, and he did nothing but continue that last week. McKinney won the Lincoln Christian meet in a time of 16:02.61, beating out strong talent.
Ogana Swimmer (Sequoyah-Tahlequah 11):
Swimmer gets a nomination for the 2nd week in a row. He once again shows up to play with a time of 16:12.80, winning his home meet.
Rylan Close (Paul's Valley 11):
Close won the 4A boys pre state race with a quick time of 16:23.31. He has had a strong start to his season as he faces great talent in 4A.
