The 4A State Meet is set for some great times and performances. This race takes place in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Here's the breakdown. The times are based on regional times so take the seedings with a grain of salt.

The Boys 100m is led by Gage Spencer from Bristow seeded in at 10.83. Damontre Patterson is not far behind with a 10.86. These two have a decent lead on the rest of the field, but at state anything can happen.

Keidon Holt and Deante Lindsay are your two favorites in this race. I can see these two going 1 and 2.

There has been some trash talk this season in the 4A distance events. Much of this talk coming from Cache, Zachary Williams looks to back it up. But can he beat the four guys seeded ahead of him? We'll just have to find out.

BOYS 200 METER DASH 16 ENTRIES

Probst, Wyatt22.99Tuttle High School
Gage Spencer is one again the favorite here. I see high potential to double at state. There is more room for error in the 200m than the 100m, so if he's to lose one of those two events I find this one more likely.

BOYS 300 METER HURDLES 16 ENTRIES

ATHLETESEEDTEAM

Beaver, Malahkie42.62Anadarko High School

There's a handful of athletes in this field that have ran 38s and 39s this year. I see this being a competitive and fast race. The 300m hurdles is a very difficult event and often the athlete with the most grit can come out on top.

BOYS 3200 METER RUN 16 ENTRIES

Rodriguez, Jaden9:58.90Bridge Creek High School
Jones, Ethan9:59.47Cache High School
Morgan, Jack9:59.78Elk City High School

The two likely competing for the title will be Zachary Williams, Cole Powell, Corbin Galt, and a few others. 3200m races at state are difficult to predict as we've seen some be very slow and some be pretty quick over the years. It's a much more tactical event that requires a lot of physical and mental focus.

Xander Rhynes from Ada is your favorite with a personal best of 48.11. He is the strongest pick to win state but with multiple other athletes close to that range, it is very possible someone can upset.

Realistically, I think there are four schools in the mix here. There's Cache, Plainview, Bethany, and Heritage Hall. Cache has the best time in the field while Heritage Hall has the fastest anchor. Plainview is your XC champion last fall while Bethany also has a strong anchor. I think this one is a toss up. On paper Cache should win but I could see any of these teams getting the win.

Demarion Dean should run away from the field, but Levi Johnson and Kaleb Madron have a real shot as well. The 800 is a very difficult meet to predict, but Dean is the likely winner based on this seasons of far.

I can see this coming down to the wire with some jumps over 14+ feet. There are multiple athletes in the mix gunning for the title and at state many step up their game. Would be awesome to see a high 14s performance or maybe even a 15.

Kenzi Readnour from Pauls Valley High School has a strong lead on the rest of the field. It will be tough to beat her in this event, but with the 3200m there is so much room for error that no lead is safe.

With multiple athletes right around that sub 60 or close to it, I can see a few sub 60 performances in this event. Maybe we see a 58 if its fast.

Kat Meacham and Tyley Dotson are the athletes to watch out for in this event. Meacham is very close to the state record this season and will likely put up a great performance to potentially break this state record. I see it likely a state record goes down in this event. She is currently at 4.5 inches away. Dotson isn't as strong in the discus as she is in the shot but is still someone to look out for.

Jacey Hammon leading the way with a  5'6 jump is quite a feat and will likely result in a win. Her teammates, Emory Glaven is in 2nd with a 5'4. This helps Plainview High School's team score tremendously if both athletes perform well.

Tyley Dotson came close to the state record last year. It would be cool to see it go down at this meet, but hasn't set a personal best this year so it will take a performance.

4A State is set to be a classic. Best of luck to everyone competing!
