The Weekend Rundown: Loudoun Valley Lives Up To The Hype In First Meet

Carter Cheeseman's Transfer To Fort Worth Christian (Texas) Is Going To Shake Up The National Rankings And Add A Little More Talent To The Lone Star State

Fort Worth Christian (Texas) High received a great prospect this fall with the addition of junior Carter Cheeseman. The former Brentwood Academy (Tennessee) High front man won the Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association D2-AA Cross Country Championship a year ago in 15:54.04 and placed 12th at NXN Southeast.

That success followed in the spring with a fifth-place bid at state in the 800m and a second-place finish in the 1600m. He marked PBs of 1:58.55 and 4:16.82 in the 800/1600 -- and ran 4:14.76 for the full mile.

His exit from Tennessee will likely shake up the national rankings, which has Brentwood Academy at No. 22, and also could move Cheeseman up the state leaderboard in Texas for a possible top podium finish later in the season.
