St. Benedict's has another great runner from Kenya as part of their program in Edwin Rutto. After enjoying having a runner like Foot Locker Nationals champ and future NCAA champ Edward Cheserek as part of their team for several years, their new #1 runner Rutto defeated a strong field at the Shores Coaches Invite including most of New Jersey's best previewing the state course at Holmdel Park as well as US top 10 ranked Mikey Brannigan from Northport in New York. Brannigan had a sub-par opener in a 4th place time of 16:23 (7th fastest overall), while Rutto did not seem be slowed by adverse weather and course conditions in a winning time of 15:56.

The US #1 ranked CBA boys did not run their full "A" squad, but their runners they put in the top race put together an "A" team effort as they were winners by over 100 points in the merge and a 11 second spread for their top 5 scorers.

Catherine Pagano might be the best runner in NJ after 18:27 at Holmdel in the rain!
Watch out Briana Gess!

Catherine Pagano of Northern Highlands had the fastest girls time of the day at Holmdel with a 18:27 performance from the varsity B division, while two other top runners from her homestate's in Eve Glasergreen of North Hunterdon and Marin Warner of Holmdel also went under 19 in winning their separate division races.  Warner wonthe invitational race in 18:55, while Glasergreen had the second fastest time of the meet from the varsity A division race in 18:32.

The Red Bank Catholic girls came out on top in the results merge with a team score of 217 points and 64 second spread.
