Several Oklahoma high school athletes set personal records at the OSSAA 5A/6A State Championship on May 15.
Saniya Craven (Glenpool) ran 11.08 in the 100 meters, improving from her previous best of 11.43. The mark ranks #1 in Oklahoma and broke the school record. Craven won the event among 32 competitors and also set a personal record in the 200 meters with 23.18, down from 23.57.
Sean Keyes (Edmond Santa Fe) clocked 10.33 in the 100 meters, dropping from his previous personal record of 10.76 set in May 2026. The junior ranks #4 in the state and #2 among Oklahoma juniors. Keyes placed 4th of 28 competitors and set the Santa Fe school record.
Ivan McFarlin (Stillwater) ran 20.90 in the 200 meters, improving from 21.88 set in May 2026. The sophomore ranks #3 in Oklahoma and #1 among state sophomores. McFarlin finished 3rd of 30 competitors and established a new Stillwater school record.
Ava Lanik (Collinsville) ran 14.60 in the 100-meter hurdles, improving from 15.62 set in May 2026. The junior ranks #6 in Oklahoma and #3 among state juniors. Lanik placed 5th of 32 competitors and broke the Collinsville school record.
Kinsley Brown (Bishop McGuinness) clocked 14.99 in the 100-meter hurdles, dropping from 16.04 set in May 2026. The junior ranks #14 in Oklahoma and #6 among state juniors. Brown finished 10th of 32 competitors and set the Bishop McGuinness school record.
Tucker New-Henson (Elgin) threw 174-1 in the discus, improving from his previous best of 159-0. The junior ranks #4 in Oklahoma and #1 among state juniors. New-Henson placed 2nd of 31 competitors and established an Elgin school record.
Gavin Wilson (Bixby) threw 58-5 in the shot put, improving from 53-5.75 set in May 2026. The sophomore ranks #4 in Oklahoma and #1 among state sophomores. Wilson finished 3rd of 32 competitors.
