Last week was full of big time performances across all events and divisions. With the season hurling forward towards post-season meets, we are seeing athletes really step it up.
Garbarino ran 44.03 in the 300mH to win her race last week. This is a number 3 ranked time in the state for the junior. She has had a strong season and is a name to watch as we get closer to the state championship. She is also a likely candidate to break 44 seconds.
Hookum is tied for 3rd in the state in the high jump. Her leap of 5-6 is a very competitive mark and puts her towards the top of the favorites to win the state title in her division. Hookum is only a sophomore as well and may have a bright future in this event if she keeps at it!
