Cowgirls Earn 2005 Academic Honors

STILLWATER, Okla., — Oklahoma State's women's track and field team was announced as one of the National Collegiate Division I 2005 All-Academic Teams.
The Cowgirls maintained a 3.146 grade point average as a team, which ranked them 36th nationally.

Four Cowgirls that helped earn the honor were named Academic All-Americans. That included seniors Michelle Prowse and Valentina Medina, sophomores Eva Tomankova and Mary Davies.

Prowse was also one of only 16 student-athletes that maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average through all of last year.

The qualifications for the individual honor goes to the student-athletes that met a minimum of a 3.25 grade point average and was an NCAA Qualifier or a Professional Qualifier.
