Several Oklahoma high school athletes set personal records at meets held during the week of April 20.
Madden Minnix (Jenks) threw 168-5 in the discus at the Frontier Valley Conference Meet on April 24, improving from his previous best of 135-6. The mark sets a Jenks High School record and ranks the freshman #7 in the state and #2 among freshmen. Minnix placed 4th of 29 competitors.
Malaysia Gilkey (Tulsa Central) ran 12.79 in the 100 meters at the Beggs HS Gerard Alexander Invitational on April 24, dropping from her previous personal record of 13.54. The freshman now ranks #111 in Oklahoma and #11 among freshmen in the event. Gilkey finished 3rd of 25 competitors.
Scout Weichbrodt (Stillwater) clocked 12.81 in the 100 meters at the Choctaw HS Sting Em Showcase on April 23, improving from 13.52 set in March 2024. The junior ranks #114 in the state and #23 among juniors. Weichbrodt placed 3rd of 22 competitors.
Callen Ferguson (Broken Arrow) threw 49-1 in the shot put at the Frontier Valley Conference Meet on April 24, improving from 38-9 set in April 2026. The freshman ranks #32 in Oklahoma and #3 among freshmen in the event. Ferguson placed 5th of 41 competitors and also set a personal record in the discus, throwing 131-8 compared to his previous best of 99-1.
Justin Gilmor (Bixby) threw 169-3 in the discus at the Frontier Valley Conference Meet on April 24, improving from 148-4 set in April 2026. The freshman leads all Oklahoma freshmen in the event and ranks #6 statewide. Gilmor placed 3rd of 29 competitors.
Saylor Woulfe (Dickson) ran 26.24 in the 200 meters at the Lake Country Conference Championships on April 25, improving from 27.56 set in April 2026. The mark sets a Dickson High School record and ranks the senior #76 in the state and #15 among seniors. Woulfe won the event against 17 competitors.
Stevi Ardrey (Byng) ran 12:22.94 in the 3200 meters at the Lake Country Conference Championships on April 25, improving from 12:58.76. The freshman ranks #71 in Oklahoma and #16 among freshmen in the event. Ardrey placed 5th of 13 competitors.
