Flashback Friday: Greatest 800 Race On Delaware Soil?

Last year's DIAA Meet of Champions may have had the fastest and best high school 800 meter race ever in Delaware history and on Delaware soil with three runners running 1:53 or faster.

Led by race winner Chris Brown from Charter School of Wilmington at 1:51.91, Brown was quickly followed thru the finish line by Tatnall's Napoleon Hernandez at 1:52.41 for second place and Dover's Nathanael Guy at 1:53.05 for third place. It is unfortunately for both Hernandez and Guy who were coming back for their senior seasons to have gotten the opportunity to race each other once again this spring.

Brown's time is the fastest time ever run on Delaware soil. The current state record of 1:49.4 was set back in 1984 by Dover's Bruce Harris in a post-season race actually in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
