WATCH: Caitlyn Bobb's 39.34 PR In 300 At Southern MD Classic

The Harford Tech junior Caitlyn Bobb recorded one of the fastest flat track times in the country at 300 meters with a new PR of 39.34 at the Southern Maryland Classic on Saturday at the Prince George's County Sportsplex. The time ranks 8th fastest in the country this year and only another Maryland star in Bella Whittaker of Mount De Sales at 39.22 has a faster time on a flat track.

Bobb warmed up for her 300 meter race going thru the three rounds of the 55 meter dash as she ended up finishing runner-up in the finals behind state leader Victoria Perrow of Bullis School with a 7.20 personal best.

The defending Maryland 2A state champ indoors in the 500 and 300 meter dash though is certainly at her best at the longer distances, but her development in the 55 meter dash might have her coaches considering a sweep attempt of all 3 individual sprint races at the state meet this year.
