Harper wins second state championship

Amber Harper, who has spent most of the season recovering from a knee surgery, led Plainview to there 6th state championship in the past ten years. Amber managed to hold off fellow teammates Tess Lackey, Kaili Tucker, and Adair's Kevi Luper to defend her individual State Champion title, with a time of 12:15.08.

In the 2A boys division, Matt Schooley finished more than 50 yards ahead of runner-up, to win his first individual state championship title and to lead his team, Metro Christian, to there first cross country state championship. Four-time defending champion Sequoyah Tahlequah took second as a team.

Hooker and Watonga won the Class A boys and girls titles, respectively.
