Eastern Track Athlete sets School Record

Edward Johnson who hails from Broken Bow, set a new school record in the 60 meter dash at the Oklahoma Christian Indoor Invitational Track meet. He broke his own record with a time of 6.98 breaking the old record of 7.00

Other Eastern athletes showed improvement in their events also.  Brandon Rich improved his 600 meter time by running 1:27:08.  Dakota Fields improved a foot in the shot put with a throw of 36'8".

Others making the trip and improving were Brad Watkins, Billy Christy, Billy Knighton, and  Germine Williams.

Easterns next meet will be at OU on February 24th.  This will be the last meet to qualify for nationals, that will be held at Texas Tech University.
