INGRAM QUALIFIES FOR NCAA NATIONAL MEET

WARRENSBURG, MO – Southwestern Oklahoma State cross country star Rachel Ingram earned her second trip to the NCAA Division II Championships by finishing in second place in the South Central Regional meet Saturday at Pertle Springs Park in Warrensburg, Mo.

Ingram, a junior from Springfield, Mo., finished the 6,000 kilometer race in second place with a time of 22:02, only two seconds behind Truman State's Jacquie Faust. A total of 130 runners competed in the event, with the top 15 advancing to the national meet Nov. 18 in Pensacola, Fla.

SWOSU's Stefanie Jones just missed out on qualifying for the national meet as she finished in 19th place, 11 seconds behind the 15th place runner.

Kate Hollenshead was the other SWOSU runner in the event and finished in 105th with a time of 26:16.
