Excellent Ohio trip for LTT who's now ranked #4 in the 60m and 200m. She also long jumper 19-6.75.
3
Second to Kelsey Chmiel at NB Grand Prix.
4
CO
7.41, 23.72, 53.80. Just another casual Saturday night.
5
I know this one may get some questions...Kelsey Chmiel beats Wilkinson and yet Chmiel drops a place. Arria Minor had a monster triple in New Mexico and Wilkinson just has more nationally ranked performances and relays across multiple events while Chmiel has only raced the mile.
6
Sectional champ in both the 1000m and 1500m.
7
Ballard competed well in the 60H in Georgia to move up to US #4.
8
New 8.22 60H PR at Spire and 7.47 60m behind LTT and Abby Steiner. The 60m was really impressive because it was just minutes after the 60H final.

Thelma Davies ran a 7.38 in the 60m while winning the event at NB Grand Prix.
11
Region champion in the 500m and 800m.
12
Tia Jones made a big statement over the weekend. She beat many of the top hurdlers in the nation and became the sixth fastest athlete all time in the 60H.
13
Big move of the week goes to Abby Steiner. She had some decent times early on in the season, but needed to see her show top ranked times across multiple events to jump her up. After a narrow loss to LTT in the 60m at the Spire Showcase, Steiner responded by beating LTT in the 200m with the third fastest time of the year. Abby Steiner is now top five in the 60m and 200m.

Easy week for Carter racing through region champs in Virginia.
23
300m region champ and second to teammate Nyjari McNeil in the 500m.
24
Jaydan Wood beat Vanessa Watson in the 400m at Spire and finished third in the 200m to LTT and Steiner.
25
Two freshman national record over the weekend in the 60m and 200m.

Known more for her strength in the longer races, Gaughan dropped down to the mile and finished sixth at NB Grand Prix.
32
Semira Killebrew tied her season best in her fifth time under 7.50 in the 60m this season. She was also second in the 200m behind Tamari Davis in Atlanta.
33
Decent week for Sydnee Larkin competing in the sprints and jumps in Atlanta. Just gets bumped from other athletes over performing.
34
Nikki Merrill moves back up the MileSplit50 after a stellar race in the New Balance Grand Prix mile. She finished third behind Chmiel and Wilkinson. In that race Merrill beat Grace Connolly, Lilly Flynn, and Jacqueline Gaughan.
35
Fifth in the NB Grand Prix mile running 4:51.

McKenzie Long is currently dealing with an injury, which is why she didn't race at Spire this week. I've heard she should be back this season. She'll have plenty of opportunity to prove she's still in good form once she's back on the track.
39
Huge race for her in the 60H. She's ranked US #5 after running 8.40 in the stacked final in Atlanta.

Casual 1000m/1500m/3000m triple for Sarah Trainor at the MHAL Championship.
44
Kyna Robinson broke the NC state record in the 500m this weekend running just .05s off Britton Wilson's US #1 time in the event.
45
Meghan Hunter ran one of the fastest times in the 400m back in January. This week she ran her first ever 800m in a shockingly fast 2:11.38, which is US #5.
46
Told y'all last week you had to watch out for Brooke Jaworski to pull off the upset at Spire! She went out hard in the 400m and held on in a thrilling finish where she dove across the line to secure the win over Jaydan Wood and Vanessa Watson.

Anna Hall has been on the bubble all year long and finally makes her ascension onto the MileSplit50. She cleared 5-10 in the high jump for the second week in a row and ran a 200m PR in Atlanta.

EXPLAINING MILESPLIT50:

These are subjective rankings of the top 50 athletes across all indoor track and field events. Feel free to reach out to MileSplit via email (travis.miller@flosports.tv) or on Twitter (@milesplit or @TravisMillerFlo)

Here are the attributes MileSplit considered when ranking athletes (in no particular order):

- IAAF points for ballpark numbers to compare performances across different events

- PRs

- Returning indoor track & field rankings

- Significant wins/results in previous indoor seasons

- More weight on "championship" events (I took stats and performances from ALL events into consideration, but championship events are more important at the national level)

- Participation in relays

- 2018 indoor track & field results

- Indoor competition frequency (these are rankings for indoor track & field, not necessarily the best all around XC/indoor/outdoor athletes)
